All Boy Day!!

Yesterday was the day of the boys!! Skip if you were here - you would have joined them. Mark(the bro), Rob(the hubbie), and Sean(the youngin) all went up to Flagstaff to sled. It was Sean's first experience with snow. I was sad I didn't get to go - but come on me cold no way and I doubt the doctor would have approved either!! They had a great time. Rob said he couldn't stop laughing at Mark and Sean. Mark said he was exhausted. Sean well he couldn't stop talking about the crash on the "Big Leagues" - ask one of the boys to explain!! So here are the pics - enjoy they sure as heck did!!

Sean just smiling away!!!

Rob and Sean!!

Uncle Mark and Sean (pre the wipeout)!

The wipeout! Sean had snow scrapes on his cheeks for two days after this big crash!

Where did it all go??

Waiting to see if Santa really came. Sean was just sure he was on the naughty list.

It never seems to amaze me until after the day has come and gone. We spend soooo much time hyping up a day, that should be so simple and based around one thing - "The Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ". All in all it was a great day - of course we spoiled our kids! No not us!! But here are some of the pics - Enjoy!

Shelby thinks this is a real car and she should be allowed to drive it to CCV and to Grandma & Grandpa's house! We told her it was against the law and she would be arrested if she went on the road! Good thing - she is a maniac it in. Did you know this thing has a real life FM radio that must be blasting while driving!!

Sean opening some game called Bakugen (not sure on the spelling).

Just remember after all the presents are opened, the ham is eaten, this day would not be possible without the birth of a very special baby - Jesus Christ - the real reason for the season!

After Surgery Message!!

So we are a little late with this post!!! Surgery was Monday (one week ago) and I am doing good. My mornings are ruff. I don't know if it is because I haven't moved all night long or if it is just my body likes to heal in the morning. Either way, I am great! I even went to the football game yesterday - ok there was no way I was missing that game :) Go Cards!!!

Making the Cut 2008!

Last year I had the best time at the Arizona Cardinals Making the Cut charity fundraiser at Rolf's Salon. So this year, I brought some friends - Rachel, CJ, and Jen! I had such a great time!! Here are the pics - what more can I say - may favorite player was Calais Campbell. He is the sweetest guy in the world - okay almost as sweet as Rob. I challenged him to cut my hair - didn't think he would - but he did. It was the best. He was so nervous. I kept telling him it was okay. After he cut a snip, he did another - brave guy. He placed his prized pieces of hair on the counter (like a little trophy). I know this was his first cut and he did great. Calais is a brain - he graduated from college after 3 years. He is also one of the tallest players in the NFL. I must say he has the spunkiest (is that a word?) personality ever!! Enjoy I know we all did!!!

Calais Campbell cutting my hair - yikes!!

Calais - what a goof ball!!

CJ and the Cardinal Cheerleaders!!!

Jen waited the whole night for Steve Breaston

Rachel and I met Calais at Fox Sports Grill one evening. He loved giving her two high fives. I can't explain this, you will have to ask her :)
Thanks Cards amd Rolf's for a great time!! See you all next year!!

Helping Others!!

This year our CCV Bible Small Group decided to adopt a family (maybe two by week's end). Our family volunteered to buy things for a little 2 year old girl named Bella (pretty ironic since the main character in Twilight is Bella). I had the best time shopping for her. I know you all are thinking what a nut case because I can shop for Shelby. But this was totally different! I was buying things to help make a little girl's life a little easier and a lot brighter. I love to help others - thanks Mom for teaching this so many years ago. I headed over to Kohls and totally hit the jackpot. They were having one of their wonderful 2 day sales.

Here is Bella's new loot:

Little People Noah's Arc set

Dora Exporer Boots

Dora Explorer Backpack

3 different outfits (pants and shirts)

2 sets of pajamas

Cabbage Patch Doll

2 sets of doll cloths

doll carrier

cutest "Princess" jacket

Check it out!

MERRY CHRISTMAS BELLA!!!

Golden Friend!!!!

Those of you that have spoken to me in the past few days - know I have had some hard days at work. I have had to do some serious soul searching, praying, and gutt checks. I have so many friends to be thankful for.

Sharon - thank you for being so understanding with the shopping thing and especially for the Diet Coke!

Rachel - thank you for letting me blab to you for an hour and never once interrupting(when you have your own trials right now :) ) !

Shanin - thank you for having my back (okay my butt too)!

Katie - thank you for all your kind words!

Most important, Sherry - thank you sooooooooo much for my beautiful wreath. It is by far the bestest thing!! I love it and I know my bro will love it too. You are always so thoughtful and considerate. You knew exactly how to cheer my broken heart. You have the heart of gold - so my new nickname for you is "The Golden Friend"!!

Love you all - Jack

What a big girl!!

The last 3 years, Shelby has been petrified of Santa, the Easter Bunny, Chuck E. Cheese, all the characters at Disneyland, Big Red - well.....okay she is afraid of all characters!! Low and behold, she asked yesterday to go see Santa. I was thinking, "Okay who stole my daughter and sent in this imposter?" I didn't think she meant it. So tonight at dinner, I asked, "Who wants to go see Santa?" She raised her hand and yelled, "ME!!!" I figured this was my only opportunity, so we headed to Arrowhead Mall. We walked into Santa's area and it was empty! I was thinking - woo hoo, no line piece of cake. No such thing. Santa was just getting ready to leave for his dinner break. Afraid I might miss this moment, the three of us sat in line (okay we were the only ones) for the next 30 minutes waiting for Santa's return. At 6:30, Sean starts yelling, "Here he comes!" I am thinking - oh no here we go. Then, Shelby starts waving at Santa, instead of hiding behind me. The elf lady opens the gate and Shelby was gone. She walked right up to Santa and jumped in his lap. I was shocked! Didn't know quit what to say. Sean stole my words and told Shelby, "Good job you didn't even cry this time"! So you can see another time my little girl is getting bigger!! Early Merry Christmas from The McCormicks! Just remember Jesus is the real reason for the Season!!
